Chrome Extension (VOIP included)

Record online meetings, make calls, and access Noota VoIP from your browser.

The Noota Chrome Extension makes it easy to capture meetings, dial phone numbers, and sync everything.


1. What the Chrome Extension can do

🎥 Record online meetings

Capture any meeting happening in your browser (Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, etc.).

📞 Make calls directly from your browser

Use the VoIP dialer to place outbound calls from Chrome.

☎️ Click-to-Call from any phone number online

Enable “Click to call” and turn every detected phone number into a one-click Noota call button.

📇 Access your Noota contacts

Connects with the VoIP contacts list inside the web app.

📼 Record both meetings and calls

Supports all recording modes (text only, audio only, audio + video).


2. Installing the Chrome Extension

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store

  2. Search for Noota

  3. Click Add to Chrome

After installation, you’ll see the Noota icon in the Chrome toolbar.


3. Logging in

When opening the extension for the first time:

Sign in using:

  • Google

  • Microsoft

  • Email + Password

After login, the extension stays active automatically.


4. Recording Meetings

4.1 Opening the recorder

Click the Noota icon → the recording panel appears.

4.2 Choosing settings

Each recording includes:

Language

Summary template

Microphone

If no microphone is detected:

4.3 Start recording

Click Start recording.

The floating widget appears on-screen while recording.

You can:

  • Pause

  • Stop

  • Open meeting guidelines


5. Using the VoIP Dialer (Calls Tab)

5.1 Switching to Calls

Click the Call icon at the top of the extension.

5.2 If no phone number is connected

The extension will show a message prompting the user to connect a number.

Click Connect phone number → the web app opens to VoIP settings.


5.3 Keypad mode

Enter a number manually using the keypad.
When the number is complete, click Start call.


5.4 Call History

Shows the last calls made or received via the web app VoIP.


5.5 Contacts

Synchronized with the Noota web app:

  • Click a contact → the dialer opens with their number prefilled

  • Click the call icon → start call immediately


6. Click-to-Call (Phone number auto-detection)

When Enable Click-to-call is ON in extension settings:

  • Every phone number detected in any webpage shows a small Noota call icon

  • Clicking it automatically opens the dialer with that number prefilled

How to enable it

Open Settings → toggle Enable Click to call ON


7. Settings (Extension)

Includes:

  • Meeting language

  • Meeting template

  • Microphone selection

  • Dark mode

  • Enable Click to call

  • Download at the end of the recording

All settings sync with the user’s main Noota account unless overridden.


8. Error & Edge Cases

❗ No microphone detected

User cannot start audio recording.
Solution: check system permissions.

❗ No phone number connected

Calls tab shows a lock-out screen until user connects a VoIP number.

❗ Browser permissions blocked

Recording may not start if Chrome permission is denied.

❗ Invalid or unsupported number

Click-to-call won’t trigger.
