From an Uploaded File:

Ensure the Sound Is Clear:

  • Before anything else, make sure the sound in your uploaded file is not only audible but crystal clear. A successful transcription depends on it.

Identify Distinct Voices:

  • Listen closely to the audio file. Can you distinguish different voices in the conversation? This is vital for accurate transcriptions.

Not Music-Only:

  • Ensure that the file you're trying to transcribe isn't just music. Our system is designed for voice transcription, so it won't work with music-only files.

Correct Language Selection:

  • Double-check that you've selected the correct language for transcription. Accurate language identification is crucial.

If you've confirmed all these factors are in place and your transcription is still giving you trouble, we're here to help. Please re-upload your file and reach out to our support team.

If you're not on an unlimited plan, we'll be happy to refund your lost credits.


From a Screen Recorder:

Chrome Page Selection:

  • One critical aspect of using our Chrome extension for screen recording is selecting the right page.

    • The extension will only capture audio from the specific Chrome page you intend to record, along with your microphone input.

Audio Recording Acceptance:

Be certain that you've given Chrome permission to record audio for Noota. Check your extension settings to ensure that “microphone: disable” is not selected.

Check Downloads:

  • After recording, navigate to your computer's downloads folder. Look for a file ending in "webm."

    • If you find it, simply re-import it to your Noota dashboard, and the summary should be generated.
